Academic Regulations

  • The Dean is primarily responsible for ensuring that the academic regulations related to internal assessments and semester exams are followed. The Dean works with faculty to ensure that the academic integrity is upheld in all examinations, both internal and external. The Dean is also concerned with academic standards and the overall academic performance of students.
  • The Dean ensures that the examination policies, including rules and procedures, are clearly outlined and communicated to students and faculty.
  • The Dean monitors that exams are conducted following the academic standards and regulations, ensuring a fair and transparent process.
  • The Dean ensures that internal assessments are conducted fairly and align with the course objectives and the learning outcomes expected from students. Internal assessments typically include assignments, quizzes, mid-term exams, project work, presentations, and other forms of evaluation during the semester and also ensures that the internal assessments.
  • The Dean sets the weightage for internal assessments which will contribute to the final grade, ensures a balanced evaluation of both internal and external assessments. The Dean promotes the continuous internal evaluation throughout the semester to monitor the consistency of students’ learning.

The Dean ensures that grading is based on clearly defined criteria for each type of internal assessment (e.g., presentation quality, research depth, participation, etc.).   • If there are any changes in the assessment pattern, grading system, or exam schedules, the Dean issues official notifications to all concerned.
  • The Dean may also issue notifications about academic policies, exam schedules, re-evaluation procedures, and changes to the academic calendar.

Time tables

The Dean oversees the preparation and management of timetables for internal assessments, mid-term exams, and semester end exams.

The Dean ensures that the timetable for internal assessments is prepared in coordination with faculty members to avoid clashes and provide enough preparation time for students.

The Dean is responsible for managing the results of internal assessments and semester end exams.
